Aurangabad Cantonment General Hospital was established in 1916. It is a 20 bedded Hospital run by Aurangabad Cantonment Board. Hospital provides comprehensive treatments to all residents of Cantonment and other people coming from periphery and town. Hospital Infrastructure comprises of OPD Complex, OT Complex, Maternity Unit (Labour Room & Maternity Ward), Laboratory, equipments. The old OPD building and ward is closed since 1998 due to its dilapidated conditions. New Hospital building was constructed in year 2005, by donation from Shri Vijay Babu Darda (M. L. A.). Both Major and Minor Operations are being carried out in the OT Complex. Laboratory has the facilities of Routine Urine, Hemogram, Blood Group, Stool Routine, Urine Pregnancy Test. The Hospital is headed by Residential Medical Officer (RMO) and Assistant Residential Medical Officer (ARMO). RMO and ARMO conduct daily OPD services. The Daily 175 to 200 patients come for OPD service. OPD service runs daily from 8:00 am to 2 pm. A wide variety of high quality drugs from standard reputed companies are made available to the outdoor and indoor patients. Various special OPDs are conducted by visiting honorary doctors. Aurangabad Cantonment Board has constructed a new building for Cantonment General Hospital. Old OPD and OT have been shifted to new hospital building. This hospital building was inaugurated by Shri Ashok Kumar Harnal, the then DGDE, on 19th Nov, 2011 in presence of Dr. A. K. Kapoor, the then Principal Director Defence Estates, Southern Command. OPD complex has Doctor’s Consultation room, registration room, dispensary room, dressing room, injection room, Staff room and patient’s room (in emergency case). Well equipped major operation theatre, labour room, Postoperative care room and Autoclave room are available in OT Complex. Laboratory facility with different test is also carried out in newly constructed hospital.
