Cantonment Board, Aurangabad maintains 20 bedded hospital and maternity ward with an OPD & OT complex functioning. Free medicines are being supplied to patients. Few generic medicines are being purchased from GMSD Mumbai and other generic medicines by tendering process. Specialists in Pediatrician, General Physician, Ophthalmologist, ENT Surgeon, Dermatologist and Dentist have been engaged, Dentist and Physician render their services at the Hospital on daily basis on honorarium whereas other specialist visit once a week and paid honorarium on per visit basis.

1.OPD Services:

During the year under report, total 46845 OPD patients and 2443 IPD patients were registered and provided treatment.

 – ANC Registration

 – ANC Checkup

 – Normal Deliveries

 – Caesarean Sections

 – Family planning operations

 – Contraceptive advices are given to the patients

08am to 03 pm Monday to Saturday

3.National Health Programmes Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization (IPPI)Programme:

Pulse Polio Programme is carried out in cantonment area as per the national guide lines.

4.Dots therapy:

Revised national tuberculosis control programme is followed in the Hospital. Anti TB treatment is given to the patient under direct observation. All records are maintained and being submitted to district tuberculosis officer. The drugs are being made available from district TB center.

5. Senior Citizens:

Priority is given to senior citizen for treatment and free medicines.

6.School Health Programme:

1) Routine immunization for children:

Routine immunization is carried out on every week by Cantonment Hospital  staff.

2)National Deworming & WIFS (Weekly Iron Folic Acid Supplementation Programme):

This programme is carried out in all Cantonment School as per national guide lines.

7.FACILITY FOR PHYSICALLY DISABLED

The Cantonment runs a rehabilitation centre named ‘Udaan’ for special children – having disorders in speech, mental retardation, nerve disorders, orthopaedic disorder etc.  The Centre runs from Monday to Friday with two qualified health workers (rehabilitators) in the field of speech therapy and mental retardation, rendering their services for care and treatment of such special children. Two Specialist doctors one each as Physiotherapist and Paediatric Neurologist visit the centre occasionally.  The Centre was established in 2009 and till date have enrolled 1369 such children over the years. Total enrollment for the period under report is 153. The enrollment and treatment is free till date.  The special children are from economically backward classes. 11 students have participated in “Gunjan” the state level conducted programme. The health workers and visiting doctors are paid honorarium @ Rs.15,000/-p.m. each and Rs.750 per visit each respectively. World Disabled Day was celebrated on 3rd December for these special children with games and discussions with the parents of such children and honouring these children with sweets and gifts.
